Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park is the only former Olympic venue in the world that was designed to be used over the long-term to improve the lives and wellbeing of the local community. The site is delivering a tangible legacy from the London 2012 Olympic Games through a combination of world-class sports facilities, education, new skills, research and innovation, environmental improvements and opportunities for the local community.

Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park forms an important part of the Innovation District; creating a world class research and innovation environment for the production of new products, processes and services in healthcare technologies, sports and exercise medicine.
Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park also includes the English Institute of Sport Sheffield, iceSheffield, a 600-student University Technical College specialising in Sport Science, Health Sciences and Computing, a 1,200-pupil Oasis Academy as well as a 3G pitch.
