JCI Sheffield was awarded the “Most Outstanding” Yorkshire Chamber, at the Annual Regional Ceremony in Bradford on Saturday night, after winning five prestigious awards.
This tops off a most productive and energetic year for the local Chamber, where the team rose to the JCI Global Challenge to “Be Better”. This really engaged our members allowing them to develop both inwardly and outwardly, and to aid this we offered a varied schedule of events involving training, community in action, business tours, project management, debating, social networking, and lots more. This was indeed the icing on the cake, especially after Mark Smith (2014 JCI Sheffield Deputy President) won the Most Outstanding Member in Europe at a glittering Ceremony in Malta. Mark’s award was an esteemed commendation for all his Business, Community and Volunteering work.
The 2014 Yorkshire Awards won by JCI Sheffield included the Best local personal development programme, Most outstanding member, Most outstanding preparation by a Deputy President, Best local Millennium Development Goals project (aligned to the United Nations objectives), and finally the Most outstanding local organisation.
Ilona Alcock, 2014 JCI Sheffield said “Thank you to each and every one who has helped us to Be Better this year! The hard work and efforts have truly been recognised tonight, making me so proud to lead such a dedicated group of young and inspiring people!”
